X-Bow Systems is expanding and is looking to fill a new position, from Junior to Senior level.

Our team of innovative engineers and scientists is committed to pushing the boundaries of rocket propulsion. As we expand, we seek a talented and driven Chemical Engineer to join our team.

About the Role: The Chemical Engineer will support the design, analysis, specification, integration, and commissioning of facilities for energetic material manufacturing. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on requirement verification, upgrades, anomaly resolution, design, analysis, testing, and deployment of hardware and control subsystems related to a new method for nitrocellulose production. Success involves identifying blockers, guiding processes to resolve issues, verifying requirements, and delivering on schedules while maintaining safety and environmental standards. The role requires experience in chemical process equipment development, creating standards and specifications, and hands-on industrial system commissioning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Design, analysis, manufacture, and testing of processes for energetic materials production
• Experience generating P&ID schematics
• Creating procedures and process flow documentation to optimize workflows
• Maintaining safety and environmental standards
• Minimizing waste and by-products responsibly
• Identifying process improvement opportunities
• Establishing timelines and budgets
• Experience with manufacturing techniques and equipment such as pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, ovens, and flow meters
• Coordinating contractors/vendors for machinery design
• Collaborating with Data, Automation, and Controls engineers
• 5+ years of experience with Solidworks CAD and PDM or equivalent
• Working in multidisciplinary teams of around 5 engineers
• Using process simulation software and data analysis tools
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• Must be a US Person as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR
