Our client, one of the world's leading Chemical Societies & Scientific Non-Profits, is looking to add a
UX Designer
to their team on a
remote
schedule. Candidates are required to be legally authorized to work in the United States without a sponsoring employer indefinitely. At this time, we can only accept the following : US Citizens, Green Card Holders, and GC EADs. Although this is a remote role, candidates must currently reside within the continental United States. All work must be done within the Continental United States.
Team Overview Our client's Communications Division is dedicated to providing news, company information, and insights into the vital role of chemical professionals and the chemical sciences in addressing global challenges and enhancing everyday life. The Division's strategic objectives align with our client's vision, mission, and values, ensuring responsiveness to the evolving needs of the chemical enterprise. The Digital Product & Experience Strategy Team supports these efforts by improving user and customer interactions and delivering value across all digital channels within the world of chemistry.
The UX Team is seeking an energetic and skilled UX / UI Designer with a passion for delivering data-driven, user-centered design solutions. This role will involve translating business requirements, research findings, and data into actionable strategies. It involves solving complex design challenges, optimizing solutions using both qualitative and quantitative insights, and presenting design concepts with clarity and impact. The ideal candidate will have a strong design background, excellent storytelling ability, and experience leading or participating in design sprints and facilitating workshops in fast-paced environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that design decisions align with business goals and user needs, all while maintaining adherence to the company's brand and design system. Key responsibilities include :
Leading the end-to-end design process and working closely with business stakeholders, product managers, technology team, and researchers to ship impactful products that meet user needs and business goals. Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts and strategy. Adhere to and contribute to the company's design system, ensuring consistency and alignment across all digital products and design work. Take multiple design perspectives into account and unify them to ensure a consistent user experience across different products while aligning with the company's overall brand. Optimize designs based on data insights, including user research, analytics, usability testing, and A / B testing. Present design to stakeholders, articulating the value of design decisions and goals. Facilitate and / or participate in design sprints, workshops, and critiques to collaborate with cross-functional teams and continuously refine design solutions. Actively soliciting feedback from peers and cross-functional stakeholders through the product design lifecycle. Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2 AA, Section 508) are met. Efficiently organizing, managing, and adapting to changing priorities.
Highly preferred
Experience in customer-facing or consulting roles with a focus on UX design. Prior experience leading design and user experience for projects. Ability to gather and analyze web traffic data to drive design decisions. Knowledge in WCAG 2.0+ AA and Section 508 accessibility guidelines.
