The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in a technical field and 5+ years of manufacturing procurement experience, with strong Excel skills, ERP/MRP knowledge, and excellent communication to coordinate with internal teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or similar technical discipline.
• 5+ years of manufacturing procurement experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs unassisted.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive supplier material delivery in line with customer requirements.
• Plan, schedule and administer purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Escalate within supplier and company to address demand-supply gaps.
• Develop supplier relationships and drive performance; track OTTR, PO acknowledgment, forecast alignment.
• Act as intermediary between vendors and internal customers to resolve fabrication, cost and schedule issues.

Sr. BuyerAerospace & Defense ManufacturingLocation: South Phoenix - 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040Full time, on site positionREQUIRED: Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.Sr. Buyer Responsibilities:Drive supplier material delivery in line with key customer requirements.Plans, schedules, and administrates purchase orders to ensure material is delivered on time.Escalates within supplier and CMI for demand-supply gaps.Capable of sending out RFQ’s and evaluating supplier quotesTrack multiple procurements by supplier and manage supplier improvementDevelop supplier relationships and drive supplier performance.Drive key metrics including supplier OTTR, PO acknowledgment, forecast alignment, past due, and decommits.Demonstrates an active commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of Quality, Cost, Delivery and Lead Time.Follow-up with suppliers.
