Pencilwrench is seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to drive interest in and facilitate demonstrations of our proprietary software to dealerships across the country. Pencilwrench is an innovative automotive software company that provides dealerships with enhanced processes, additional income opportunities, and increased customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Cold call on new business - this role is email and phone-based, you will be expected to make a minimum of 50 dials a day to engage with automotive dealerships and educate them on Pencilwrench and schedule a minimum of 8 appointments to demo our software.
- Participate in fourweeks of interactive training designed to educate on product knowledge, learn our CRM system processes, familiarize yourself with our value proposition, and make initial sales calls with the support of our training team.
- Dealership contacts are provided in our CRM system to make prospecting easy for you.
- Update and manage CRM (Hubspot/SalesForce) to track activity and prospect engagement to ensure CRM completeness and accuracy.
- Become an expert in overcoming objections over the phone.
- Meet and exceed required daily/weekly sales targets- the goal is to book at least 3 product demonstration appointments each week.
- Collaborate with leadership and other team members to continue to master your sales pitch.
- This role is 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday. We expect our sales reps to be independently motivated and able to manage their time well in a work-from-home environment.
- Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and outreach.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Track and report on sales performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and the competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities.
Requirements
Requirements
Experience:
- 4+ years of business development or sales, preferably in the SaaS industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Hubspot experience is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Resilient and able to recover quickly from objections or rejection.
- Ability to think on your feet and pivot quickly when selling to businesses over the phone.
- Excellent listening and clear, concise communication skills (verbal and written).
- Adaptable with a coachable mindset, open to frequent coaching.
- Strong work ethic and desire to exceed goals, striving for top performance.
- Self-directed, capable of working remotely while communicating cross-functionally
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in computer skills aligned with a SaaS sales organization
- Skilled in word processing, slide deck creation/optimization, and Excel usage (non-formulaic).
- Proficient in using internet-based tools such as live online meetings with cameras, cloud applications, and voice-over IP calling.
- Familiarity with core and auxiliary systems to sell software efficiently.
