Job Summary:

• We are seeking a talented individual for a Data/Systems Business Analyst role, functioning as the liaison between developers, product managers, and internal/external clients. The role involves reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and documenting technical components of data or systems business requirements for enhancements or new client implementations.
• Typically manages a small implementation or a phase of a larger, moderately complex implementation.

Experience:

• 8 to 14 years of experience in US Healthcare Business Analyst roles for Senior Professionals.
• 15+ years for Advisor level, with 4 or more years of Medicaid and Medicare experience preferred.
• Strong US healthcare domain knowledge is required, with good experience in Claims and Member data.

Detailed Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Review, analyze, and evaluate data/systems business requirements for existing and new developments.
• Document technical and business specifications, functional needs, and modify existing requirements as needed.
• Lead data analysis and profiling efforts for new client implementations and system enhancements.
• Facilitate technical meetings with IT and business project teams.
• Provide data mappings, user interface specifications, and processing logic according to business needs to developers.
• Communicate with clients, developers, and team members effectively.
• Test development efforts and assist clients with user acceptance testing.
• Create and maintain project plans, document meeting notes, and distribute to the team.
• Provide regular status reports to clients, developers, and management.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or a related field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience working with datasets, understanding data optimization within transactional, reporting, and big data architectures.

Business Data Analyst - Senior

• 7+ years of experience in the healthcare industry working with extensive healthcare claim and clinical data, and major databases.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with different database structures (e.g., transactional vs. data warehouse).
• Ability to read and understand ER diagrams is highly desired.
• Knowledge or certifications in software development methodologies like Scrum are a plus.
