Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

We are seeking an eager Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part on our R&D Team by designing and building rapid-prototype, generative AI applications for diverse customers. You will leverage cutting-edge Generative AI technologies to demonstrate their capabilities and help customers realize functional solutions on the Google Cloud platform. This is a highly collaborative role where you will work closely with customers and the internal product team to push the boundaries of our Generative AI offerings and share best practices.

Responsibilities

• Construct rapid prototype Generative AI applications tailored explicitly for Torchlight customers.
• Apply the latest Generative AI technologies to develop innovative solutions and validate their effectiveness.
• Produce functional Generative AI solutions on the Google Cloud platform.
• Collaborate closely with the product team to address technical challenges and influence the future direction of Generative AI offerings.
• Operate effectively and drive results in ambiguous and rapidly evolving situations.

Qualifications Required

• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Experience with REST APIs and common Python analytical libraries (pandas, geopandas, etc.)
• Experience with GCP tools such as BigQuery, VertexAI, DataFlow, DataProc, etc
• Hands-on experience with building and evaluating AI Agents and Agentic workflows
• Proven experience in operationalizing and automating ML and GenAI solutions in production environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Experience with conflict resolution and negotiation.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications Desired

• Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance
