Job description

Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, partner with CRM stakeholders to develop and maintain departmental business intelligence, reporting, and analytics solutions. Drive business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers. Develop, monitor, and report department KPIs and metrics, translating business requirements into the appropriate analytics solution. Provide project oversight, coaching, and mentoring to the BI team.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  1. Produce actionable reports and dashboards that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement in current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems.
  2. Create, review, and performance tune dashboards. Ensure dashboards are accurate and display meaningful visual stories.
  3. Conduct data analysis in support of various analytic solutions. Interpret data, analyze results, and provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities.
  4. Provide recommendations on analysis options to help solve business problems.
  5. Work with business users to identify analytics requirements on CRM, Sales Operations, and Sales-related projects.
  6. Provide reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests across multiple business areas.
  7. Troubleshoot Business Intelligence tools, systems, and software, including tracking performance and resolving production problems.
  8. Collaborate with Sales, IS, and Finance to develop, create, and maintain reporting requirements, ensuring systems provide accurate and timely data.
  9. Provide project oversight, training, and coaching.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of related experience.
  • Experience working with upper-level stakeholders—clarifying needs and making recommendations based on experience.
  • Experience with dashboard development using Tableau, MS Power BI, or similar technology.
  • Experience using SQL for data analysis and performance tuning.
  • Previous data modeling experience.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to improve results and find solutions.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; proficiency in MS Word.
  • Ability to apply concepts of algebra and business statistics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an agile/scrum environment.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $96,200.00 - $144,560.00 annually. Actual salary varies based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. The role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
