Role Overview

The Senior Business Analyst enables change within an organizational context by defining needs and recommending solutions. Responsible for analyzing complex business system problems to be solved with automated systems, supporting in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that meet user requirements. Configures system settings, plans and executes testing phases, and creates specifications for systems to meet business needs. May provide consultation to users regarding automated systems and assess available technology to recommend solutions. Defines specifications and data models for product development and testing, creating detailed test cases and analyzing results. Working independently or as part of a project team within Huron's Corporate IT Digital Business Solutions team, the Senior Business Analyst is accountable for the strategic planning and overall quality of the solutions implemented across Huron’s corporate groups and practice areas, delivering value and achieving business objectives.

Requirements
  1. Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT role, with involvement across various project types (COTS, custom development, support/enhancements) and business functions.
  2. Proficiency in writing clear, testable requirements, conducting fit/gap analysis, business process mapping, and use case modeling. Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile and Waterfall).
  3. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across diverse settings.
  5. Ability to manage multiple medium to high complexity projects concurrently, facilitating UAT, training, and change management initiatives.
  6. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to changing business and technical landscapes.
Preferences
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and revenue cycle management (RCM) domain.
  • Exposure to Power Platform projects, Azure Cloud, Salesforce CRM, Power BI, SQL Reporting Services, Power Apps, SharePoint, and Microsoft Analysis Services.
  • Knowledge of BABOK principles. Certifications like CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, or CSM are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Background in Data Analytics and Digital Transformation projects. Experience working with internal enterprise applications is a plus.
