Work Schedule

Second Shift (Afternoons)

Environmental Conditions

  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Standards
  • Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed
  • Cold Room/Freezers at -22°F/-6°C
  • Fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold)
  • Laboratory setting
  • Loud noises (equipment/machinery)
  • No contact lenses; prescriptive glasses provided
  • Office environment
  • Rapid flashing lights
  • Some PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs)
  • Standing for full shift
  • Strong odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products)
  • Various outside weather conditions

St. Louis, MO / Drug Substance Division—specializing in small and large molecule development and commercial drug substance services for various pharma sectors globally.

Contribute ideas for PPI improvements, perform skilled trades including electrical, mechanical, and certified machinery work, conduct installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs. Maintain knowledge of safety procedures, resolve breakdowns, and participate in problem-solving teams. Communicate effectively, demonstrate leadership, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills include electrical/electronic repairs and experience with Windows PCs. Ability to work well in a team with limited supervision.

A Day in the Life:
  • Operate, maintain, and repair all production equipment to prevent and address HVAC, mechanical, and electrical breakdowns following safety and quality standards.
  • Assist in electrical repairs in a manufacturing setting, with experience in industrial systems preferred.
  • Perform technical repairs including HVAC, electrical, machining, welding, and high-pressure gases.
  • Understand electrical installation & construction, AC/DC drives, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Support continuous improvement and participate in safety and environmental policies.
Keys to Success:
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
Experience
  • 3+ years in maintenance and HVAC-related roles.
  • Multi-skilled experience with HVAC, welding, mechanical, high-pressure gases, and PLCs preferred.
  • Knowledge of HVAC installation, AC/DC drives, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform housekeeping duties.
  • Background in industrial systems.
  • Willing to work scheduled shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to interpret scientific and technical documents.

  • Follow safety policies and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Be aware of potential hazards such as moving parts, heights, chemicals, and noise.
