Building Maintenance Technician II - 2nd shift

Job Overview

As part of our team, you will work in various environmental conditions, including cleanrooms, cold rooms, and warehouses, handling hazardous materials, working at heights, and standing for full shifts. You must adhere to GMP safety standards, PPE requirements, and maintain safety and cleanliness standards.

Work Schedule

Second Shift (Afternoons).

Environmental Conditions
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Adherence to GMP safety standards.
  • Cleanroom environment: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair, etc.
  • Cold Room/Freezers at -22°F/-6°C.
  • Fluctuating temperatures, loud noises, strong odors.
  • Use of PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs).
  • Standing for full shift, working with hazardous/toxic materials, working at heights.

St. Louis, MO / Drug Substance Division, specializing in small and large molecule development and commercial drug services, serving global pharma sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building, mechanical, and utility systems.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment, HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Support continuous improvement and safety programs.
  • Lead and participate in plant problem-solving teams.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Electrical/electronic repairs and experience with Windows PCs.
  • Teamwork with limited supervision.
Daily Tasks
  • Maintain and repair production equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Assist with electrical repairs and mechanical systems, including HVAC, welding, high-pressure gases, and PLC systems.
  • Support plant efficiency and safety policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience, including 500 hours of hands-on work.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, welding, mechanical systems, high-pressure gases, and basic PLC skills preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read and interpret scientific and technical documents.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Exposure to moving parts, high places, chemicals, and noisy environments.
