Work Schedule

Second Shift (Afternoons)

Environmental Conditions

  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Standards
  • Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed
  • Cold Room/Freezers at -22°F/-6°C
  • Fluctuating Temps hot/cold
  • Laboratory Setting
  • Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery)
  • No contact lenses; prescriptive glasses provided
  • Office environment
  • Rapid flashing lights
  • Some PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs)
  • Standing for full shift
  • Strong odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products)
  • Various outside weather conditions

St. Louis, MO / Drug Substance Division - part of the Pharma Services Group, specializing in small and large molecule development and commercial drug substance services, serving global pharma sectors.

Provide PPI improvement ideas, perform skilled trades including electrical, mechanical, and certified machinery maintenance. Install, maintain, and repair building and mechanical equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, and participate in problem-solving teams.   • Electrical/electronic repairs and experience with Windows PCs
  • Team-oriented with limited supervision
A Day in the Life
  • Operate, maintain, and repair production equipment to prevent breakdowns following safety and quality standards
  • Assist with electrical repairs and maintenance in a manufacturing setting
  • Perform technical repairs (HVAC, electrical, machining, welding, high-pressure gases)
  • Knowledge of electrical installation, AC/DC drives, gearboxes, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Support continuous improvement and safety programs
  • Perform tasks as assigned by supervisor
Keys to Success
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
Experience
  • At least 1 year of maintenance experience, including 500 hours on-the-job
  • Multi-skilled experience with HVAC, welding, mechanical systems, gases, PLCs preferred
  • Understanding of HVAC, motor drives, gearboxes, hydraulics, and cooling systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Experience with industrial systems
  • Work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to interpret scientific and technical documents
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Follow safety policies and procedures
