Job summary

The Premier Group is seeking a Sr. BIM Designer to join our national electrical construction practice in Dallas.

You will develop 2D/3D electrical models using Revit and AutoCAD, create critical construction documents, and coordinate with design teams and subcontractors to prevent clashes on large-scale projects. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in electrical BIM/design within construction or consulting, strong NEC knowledge, and proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, ACC, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of electrical BIM/design experience in a construction or consulting environment.
• Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, ACC, and AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality 2D and 3D electrical models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Create construction documents, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment layouts.
• Coordinate with project teams and trade partners to identify and resolve clashes.
• Produce detailed installation and coordination drawings for field operations.
• Conduct field surveys and document existing site conditions when necessary.
• Create prefab drawings, fabrication details, and BOMs.
• Support electrical power and lighting layouts, circuiting, and design efforts.
• Respond to construction administration requests and drawing revisions throughout project life cycles.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years of electrical BIM/design experience in a construction or consulting environment.
• Strong proficiency with:

• Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

• Evolve software experience.
• Data center, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction experience.
• Experience supporting prefabrication and constructability initiatives.

Base Salary: $100,000 - $110,000+ (depending on experience)
