Responsibilities

• Fee/commission submission management and submission after signed agreement.
• Prepare documents for audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Assist consultants with client deliverables and meetings.
• Provide day-to-day client support including escalated claims and billing issues.
• Prepare materials for meetings and document key takeaways.
• Develop content for Open Enrollment meetings and client deliverables.
• Oversee vendor implementation processes and manage expectations.
• Address escalated claims and billing issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain BAM (Benefit Account Management) System accuracy.
• Conduct monthly/weekly client status calls and present action items.

The Senior Benefits Specialist role is instrumental in supporting the strategic and day‐to‐day servicing needs of clients by managing core account operations, coordinating client deliverables, and ensuring consistent execution of service expectations. **How You Will Contribute:** * **Fee/Commission Submission -** Manage and submit fees and commissions upon receipt of signed agreement from the account lead. * **Internal IO Audit Preparation -** Prepare necessary documents and information for audits to ensure compliance and accuracy. * **Assist Consultants with Client Deliverables -** Prepare content and data elements for client deliverables and meetings. * **Dedicated Day-to-Day Client Support -** Provides dedicated day-to-day client support focused on managing escalated claims issues, resolving complex billing and service issues, supporting vendor implementation calls, and serving as a trusted point of contact to build and maintain strong client relationships. * **Meeting Preparation and Takeaways -** Prepare materials for meetings and document key meeting takeaways on the action log. * **Open Enrollment Preparation and Presentation -** Develop and prepare content for Open Enrollment meetings and client deliverables. The Senior Benefits Specialist leads or supports in-person and virtual Open Enrollment presentations and produces recorded content as needed. * **Vendor Implementation and Calls -** Oversee assigned vendor implementation processes and participate in calls to manage expectations and progress. * **Escalated Claims and Billing Issue Resolution -** Addresses and resolves escalated claims and billing issues to ensure client satisfaction and timely resolution. * **BAM (Benefit Account Management System) System -** Maintain the Benefit Account Management System to ensure information is current and accurate. * **Conduct Client Status calls -** Present the action log and open items during monthly/weekly status calls. * **Benefits Specialist Duties & Functions -** In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, this role is expected to perform all essential duties and responsibilities previously associated with earlier progression roles, as the scope of this position encompasses and builds upon those functions. **Skills & Experience to be Successful:** * Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business/economics or equivalent work experience* 2-3+ years financial experience with a thorough understanding and knowledge of employee benefits* Proficient with MS Office Suite* Microsoft Excel – Strong to expert level skills* Strong analytical and critical thinking ability* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Ability to work independently and exercise judgement* Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills* Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting client requirements.* Must obtain and maintain active Life/Accident and Health Insurance Agent License within one year.* This position may require routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle.
