Sr. Audit Automation Business Data Analyst

We are seeking a candidate with a business analyst skillset to identify, design, and implement automated auditing solutions across the US Corporate Audit teams, focusing on Global Markets, Global Banking, and Market Risk areas. The role involves collaboration with line of business auditors to identify automation opportunities and working with automation development teams to deliver supportive tools.

Location: Onsite | Hybrid (3 days onsite required) in New York, NY

The successful candidate will work with all levels of the Audit team, primarily focusing on US Corporate Audit teams, and coordinate with peers in EMEA and APAC. Reporting to the Senior Quantitative Finance Manager for Market Risk and Automation, you will join a team known for pioneering automation tools like Python scripted tools and model-based testing. This position offers the opportunity to network across various teams developing innovative data tools.

Responsibilities:

• Support audit teams in identifying automation opportunities.
• Develop proof of concept for new automation use cases.
• Define business and functional requirements for automation projects.
• Ensure timely and quality delivery of automation solutions with development teams.
• Assess skill and infrastructure needs for new tools.

Candidate Profile:

• Understanding of software development lifecycle and business analyst role.
• Knowledge of internal audit objectives and automation potential.
• Interest in exploring automation innovations applicable to auditing.
• Ability to translate automation ideas into actionable requirements.
• Proficiency in analyzing data source metadata to assist in automation tuning.
• Excellent communication skills to train and explain automation tools to auditors.

Minimum Skills & Experience:

• 5-8 years of experience in audit, business analysis, or market risk roles.
• Experience with programmatic approaches to improve productivity and systems development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Global Market, Banking, or Market Risk.
• Programming skills (Python, VBA, C++, SQL).
• Experience with data analytics applications.
