This role collaborates closely with the Vice Chancellor for Strategic Enrollment, the Executive Director for Enrollment Management, the Vice Chancellor for Marketing and Communications, and various university partners to create and deliver omnichannel communication campaigns that engage prospects, applicants, and deposited students, strengthening their connection to UMSL. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communication Planning & Execution
  • Develop and implement a cohesive, multi-channel communication strategy that effectively engages prospective student audiences at all stages of the enrollment funnel.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategic drip communication campaigns within the SLATE CRM email platform, including audience segmentation, automated workflow design, message personalization, performance analytics, and continuous optimization to support enrollment and engagement goals.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning tools—such as CollegeVine AI agent, Enroll ML, ZeeMee, and SlateCRM—to personalize outreach, automate engagement, and improve messaging relevance across audiences.
  • Oversee campaigns and messaging targeting undergraduate, adult, online, graduate, international, and workforce integration audiences, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities, brand standards, and data-driven segmentation strategies.
Omnichannel Marketing & Outreach
  • Manage electronic communication efforts—including AI-assisted text messaging, Speech-enabled AI assistant, CRM-driven email, and digital marketing channels—to raise awareness of recruitment events, academic offerings, and student services.
  • Collaborate with the Division of Enrollment’s teams, Information Technology partners, and external vendors to deploy intelligent outreach strategies powered by platforms such as Slate, Enroll ML, and CollegeVine, improving engagement and nurturing throughout the funnel.
  • Monitor and enhance real-time interactions through social and community-based platforms like ZeeMee to increase prospective student engagement, especially for first-year and international populations.
Content Management & Quality Assurance
  • Regularly review and update enrollment-related web content, marketing collateral, and advertising materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and visual consistency.
  • Coordinate with the University’s Chief Marketing Officer and MarComm teams to develop creative assets, ensuring high-quality, brand-consistent messaging across all outreach platforms.
Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies, utilizing data and metrics to refine outreach efforts and improve conversion rates.
  • Monitor online advertising performance—both paid and complimentary—and leverage insights to enhance ROI and audience engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as a strategic liaison between Enrollment Management and University stakeholders (Admissions, Financial Aid, Adult Education, Workforce Integration, Graduate Programs, IT, and Creative Services) to ensure cohesive messaging and seamless information flow.
  • Facilitate partnerships with academic departments and student support units, aligning communication initiatives with evolving institutional objectives and prospective student needs.
Staff Guidance & Support
  • Provide daily support, training, and consultation to staff on electronic communication systems, tools, and best practices.
  • Encourage continuous professional development and stay current with emerging media and enrollment marketing trends to enhance team performance.
Event & Project Participation
  • Assist in planning and executing events, special projects, and recruitment initiatives, ensuring that communication strategies are integrated into the overall enrollment experience.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor applicants for this position for employment visas.
