Edwards Vacuum LLC in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Senior A&T Technician to support multiple work centers including electronics, pump module assembly, system assembly and test, and final assembly. You will build and test modules, cables and dry pumps using engineered drawings and documented requirements, maintain quality, and train junior technicians.

This role emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and continuous throughput.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of mechanical component construction and assembly and test.
• Ability to read engineered drawings/diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools and small power tools, including pneumatic.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Minimum 2 years experience in assembly & test in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test modules, cables and dry pumps in line with the daily production plan, focusing on quality and output.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Follow assembly and test instructions and procedures to meet output quality requirements.
• Support the training of team members and collaborate to drive improvement and efficiency.
• Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and supporting departments.
• Communicate and seek guidance when there are errors or difficulty in build.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the assembly meets quality standards.
• Train and mentor other technicians as required.

• Salary Range: $21.63 - $42.23
• Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.

Your role

The primary mission of the Senior A&T Technician is to support various work centers, including electronics, pump module assembly, system assembly & test, and final assembly, to ensure seamless production flow and high-quality output. The A&T Technician will primarily build and assemble modules, cables and dry pumps using engineered drawings and documented requirements. The Senior A&T Technician is required to meet the build standard as defined in the assembly and test procedures and maintain a continuous throughput in their area of responsibility. In addition, the Sr. Assembly & Test Technician will train and mentor technicians as required.

1. Assemble and test modules, cables and dry pumps in line with the daily production plan - focusing on quality and output targets.
2. Maintain a safe and clean work area.

4. Support the training of team members and collaborate to drive improvement and efficiency.

• Knowledge and experience of the principles of mechanical component constructions and assembly and test. Dependent on assigned area.
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools and small power tools, including pnuematic.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Minimum 2 years expereince of assembly & test in a manufacturing setting.
