Job summary

Edwards Vacuum in Buffalo, NY is hiring an A&T Technician to support multiple work centers by building and testing modules, cables, and dry pumps from engineered drawings and documented requirements. You will ensure throughput and reflect the defined build standards while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

You will follow procedures, participate in training, and collaborate to improve efficiency while maintaining strong teamwork across departments and timely communication when issues arise.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent / associated experience.
• Knowledge and experience of the principles of mechanical component constructions and assembly and test.
• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools and small power tools, including pneumatic.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Your role

The primary mission of the A&T Technician is to support various work centers, including electronics, pump module assembly, system assembly & test, and final assembly, to ensure seamless production flow and high-quality output. The A&T Technician will primarily build and assemble modules, cables and dry pumps using engineered drawings and documented requirements. The A&T Technician is required to meet the build standard as defined in the assembly and test procedures and maintain a continuous throughput in their area of responsibility.

• Follows assembly and test instructions and procedures to meet output quality requirements.

• Communicate and seek guidance where there are errors or difficulty in build.
• Perform quality work checks to ensure the assembly meets quality standards.
