This position is for an experienced professional in Obsolescence Management within the supply chain discipline. The role involves working independently to develop and drive strategic project plans, manage segmentation, and oversee schedules and budgets for obsolescence initiatives. The individual facilitates collaboration across functional teams, forecasts project impacts, monitors progress, identifies challenges, and recommends innovative solutions to align with organizational objectives and KPIs. In this role you will oversee and drive the strategic vision and execution of obsolescence projects, providing innovative concepts and actionable plans to guide decision-making. with supply chain objectives. This role is a hybrid position (typically working 2-4 days onsite per week) in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role is NOT eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborates with internal customers to develop and implement project plans that align with organizational objectives, ensuring all obsolescence-related decisions meet established KPIs.
  • Manages segmentation strategies to prioritize and streamline efforts effectively.
  • Review project status, budgets, and schedules, prepare detailed status reports, and address challenges to optimize productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Acts as a primary interface with internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment.
  • May contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and solutions within obsolescence management.
  • Serves as the primary representative of the obsolescence department, managing projects and segmentation across geographic areas, business segments, and product groups.
  • Acts as the key customer liaison, addressing obsolescence challenges and fostering strong relationships.
  • Oversees the vision and improvement of obsolescence-related business processes and tools while ensuring initiatives' operational performance and success.
  • Leads the workforce with accountability and collaboration, driving innovation and alignment
  • Develops and manages project plans, schedules, and forecasts to ensure alignment with program objectives, supplier timelines, and supplier chain financial targets.
  • Monitors project progress, proactively identifying and resolving obstacles to minimize disruptions and maintain schedule integrity.
  • Provide monthly forecasts for obsolescence projects and update cost impacts to track financial implications to organizational goals.
  • Analyzes data and recommends solutions or alternative approaches to optimize project performance and outcomes.
  • Prepares and delivers detailed plans and progress reports to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with established targets.
  • Identifies project challenges and implements resolution strategies to drive successful project completion and stakeholder satisfaction.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
