Job summary

Generate Capital seeks a Senior Analyst, Debt Operations to own daily debt portfolio administration, ensure accurate Allvue data, and deliver timely financial reporting. You will collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, Asset Management, and Data teams to support close processes and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• CPA or progress toward certification.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in public accounting, debt/loan administration, or operations at an investment manager.
• Strong understanding of accounting rules and credit/loan administration practices.
• Experience with a loan administration or portfolio accounting system (Allvue, Advent Geneva, or similar).
• Familiarity with accounting ERPs and Treasury Management systems.
• Advanced Excel skills; willingness to transition processes in AI tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Deadline-oriented with ability to meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day administration of debt portfolios and cash reconciliation.
• Escalate Allvue issues and request enhanced reports when needed.
• Partner with Accounting and Treasury to ensure ledger accuracy and timeliness.
• Review credit agreements with Asset Management to ensure terms are followed.
• Maintain Debt Dashboard in PowerBI for audits and investor requests.
• Support finance transformation initiatives including automation and system migrations.

Job description

As the Senior Analyst, Debt Operations, you will be a key member of Generate's Finance team as the dedicated owner of debt administration. Allvue is Generate's system of record for interest, principal, and amortized fees. Accounting relies on it every close, this role is what keeps that record accurate, timely, and audit-ready. You'll partner closely with Accounting, Treasury, Asset Management, and the Data & Technology teams, transforming data to be available for wider company use. We're looking for someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with the judgment to work independently on time-sensitive, compliance-driven work.

What you will be doing at Generate Capital as a Sr. Analyst, Debt Operations:

• Own day-to-day administration of Generate's debt portfolios, including invoice collection, transaction processing in Allvue, and cash reconciliation across the book
• Escalate product issues (bugs) to Allvue when output is not recalculating or displaying as expected and request enhanced canned reports when suitable for other reporting needs
• Partner with Accounting and Treasury to ensure debt data feeding the general ledger is accurate, timely, and audit-ready
• Act as an in-house partner for Asset Management on credit agreement review and ensuring the deal follows stated terms after origination
• Fulfill audit and investor requests by maintaining the Debt Dashboard in PowerBI fed by Allvue data
• Support finance transformation initiatives touching the debt book, including accounting automation and financial system migrations (OneStream, Business Central, Kyriba)

Candidate Qualifications & Core Characteristics

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• CPA or progress toward a professional certification
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in public accounting, debt/loan administration, or operations at an investment manager
• Strong understanding and application of accounting rules and credit/loan administration practices
• Experience with a loan administration or portfolio accounting system (Allvue, Advent Geneva, or similar)
• Familiarity with accounting ERPs and Treasury Management systems
• Advanced Excel skills; willingness to transition processes in AI tools
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail
• Deadline-oriented, with the ability to meet time-sensitive regulatory and contractual requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
• Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a pragmatic approach to solving problems

Generate’s compensation packages are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Salary decisions take into account a wide variety of factors including, but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000. In addition, the compensation package may include a discretionary bonus and other benefits, including health care benefits, retirement benefits, benefits permitting paid days off (including sick leave, parental leave, and paid time off or vacation benefits), and other benefits that must be reported for federal tax purposes. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of this range.
