Lowe’s is seeking a Customs Compliance Analyst to manage compliance audit programs, ensuring adherence to regulations. Responsibilities include analyzing import/export activities, reporting compliance ratings, and managing relationships with customs agencies. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in customs regulations and strong analytical skills, contributing to Lowe's commitment to compliance and quality service.
Your Impact
The Customs Compliance Analyst is responsible for managing the corporate compliance audit program to ensure compliance with the laws and regulations covered by Title 19 of the Code of Federal Regulations (US – "19 CFR") and Customs Act (Canada) as well as corporate compliance policies, procedures and internal controls. The Analyst will verify the effectiveness of customs compliance
processes by performing compliance testing of all import and export activity conducted by the Company, analyzing and reporting to management the company's compliance rating, identifying areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective action. Analyst may also work with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulatory audit division and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and perform necessary research on laws and regulations covered by 19 CFR and the Customs Act.
What you will do
Required Qualifications
• 3 years of experience working with highly confidential information
• 3+ years' of experience in import and customs requirements
• Previous experience in a position requiring high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and follow through
• Previous experience in a position utilizing MS office software
Preferred Skills/Education
• Bachelor's degree in International Trade or a related discipline,
• 5+ Years of experience with country of origin evaluation, duty preference program qualification and antidumping/countervailing duty applicability
• US Customs Broker license
