Job description

The future is what you make it.

When you join Honeywell, you become a member of our global team of thinkers, innovators, dreamers, and doers who make the things that make the future. We are a team of innovators who strive to make the future of aerospace smarter, safer, and more sustainable.

That means changing the way we fly, fueling jets in an eco-friendly way, keeping buildings smart and safe, and even making it possible to breathe on Mars.

Are you ready to help us make the future?

The Honeywell Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) reduces the risk of controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) by providing flight crews with timely, accurate information about terrain and obstacles in the area. The system uses various aircraft inputs and an internal database to predict and warn flight crews of potential conflicts with obstacles or terrain. Additional features include SmartRunway and SmartLanding systems, developed to help flight crews avoid potential runway incursions and excursions.

As an Advanced Systems Engineer within the Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (CN&S) Avionics group, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of sophisticated Avionics systems and solutions, including Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) product lines. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of aircraft operations, contributing to the advancement of avionics technology.

  1. Drive the design, development, and implementation of advanced Avionics systems, including Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) products.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of Systems, Software, Hardware, and Test Engineers to understand customer requirements and provide innovative solutions.
  3. Conduct system-level analysis, requirements definition, and optimization.
  4. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  5. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  6. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

YOU MUST HAVE
  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, ideally in the avionics, aerospace, or related disciplines.
