Job description

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (Senior) at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

You will report directly to the Director of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and work onsite at our Phoenix, AZ location.

This role involves impacting manufacturing operations by optimizing processes and driving improvements, directly affecting our bottom line and supporting our position as a global technology leader.

Utilize your knowledge of New Product Introduction and Manufacturing Engineering fundamentals to help Honeywell Aerospace deliver innovative solutions that meet evolving customer needs. You will work under general supervision alongside talented engineers, contributing to the development of next-generation aerospace products from concept through production, focusing on process development, quality, yield, and schedule execution.

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment; candidates must be eligible for CGP security clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products are producible and meet yield and cost targets.
  2. Determine manufacturing processes, procure and set up equipment, develop work instructions.
  3. Use DFx tools to analyze design and influence design improvements.
  4. Apply APQP & Lean tools, incorporating new manufacturing processes such as automation and alternative techniques.
  5. Mentor and coach junior engineers.
  6. Support production teams in resolving issues with new product lines.
  7. Perform or lead Root Cause Corrective Analysis and drive corrective actions to closure.

Must Have
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer Systems, Mechanical).
  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and specifications.
  • Experience with Lean tools.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams.
