Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking a Sr Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Minneapolis, MN to provide test and manufacturing support for RLG and MEMS-based IMUs. You will analyze yield and performance data to monitor process capability and product health, applying RCCA, Lean, and Six-Sigma methods to standard work.

Responsibilities include resolving issues and improving design and production processes. Contract position (6 months with extension potential) with shift timing on first shift and pay

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, test, fabrication, or assembly processes.
• Experience with RCCA, Lean, Six Sigma, and FMEA tools and methodologies.
• Experience developing improvements in product design and manufacturing processes.

Summary:

• Provide test and manufacturing support for RLG and MEMS based inertial measurement units (IMUs).

• Perform yield and performance data analysis to monitor process capability and product health trends.

• Utilize CAMP, Lean, and Six-Sigma methodologies to govern engineering standard work practices.

• Investigate and resolve technical issues and facilitate issue identification and analysis.

• Develop improvements in product design and in manufacturing and assembly processes for cost and cycle time reductions.

• Support test equipment and preventative maintenance plans to maintain factory capacity and efficient product flow.

• Facilitate a self-driven workforce culture to achieve RTY, BIQ, COPQ, and other SQDIC goals.

• Test products and software.

• Plan and design manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.

• Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and workforce utilization.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM field.

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, test, fabrication, or assembly processes.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements.

• Experience with product, process, manufacturing, or test engineering.

• Knowledge of RCCA, Lean, Six Sigma, and FMEA tools and methodologies.

• Experience performing yield and performance data analysis for process capability and product health.

• Experience investigating and resolving technical issues in manufacturing.

• Experience developing improvements in product design and manufacturing processes.

• Experience with test equipment and preventative maintenance plans.
