Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract position in Orlando, FL. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance and involves developing, reviewing, and implementing inspection standards and quality processes across aerospace programs.

You will lead root cause analysis, participate in FAI audits to AS9102, and collaborate with customers and program teams to ensure conformity and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of professional experience, or Master's degree with 0 years experience.
• At least 2 years of GD&T experience.
• At least 2 years of SAP experience.
• At least 2 years of APRISO experience.
• At least 2 years of Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.).
• At least 2 years of Presentation experience.
• At least 2 years of conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102.

Responsibilities

• Develops and reviews quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures for inspection and test of manufactured and procured products.
• Designs and analyzes inspection and test processes, mechanisms, and equipment.
• Evaluates product test results and performs statistical analysis to assess risk on non-conforming products or materials.
• Reviews documentation for internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.
• Leads or participates on Failure Review Boards and other technical investigations.
• Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards.
• Develops and implements new inspection processes and automation methods.
• Ensures effective corrective and preventive action to improve processes.
• Performs special process assessments and audits procedures for compliance to technical specifications and ISO-9001 or AS9100 standards.
• Interfaces with customers and program personnel on quality issues and makes the final decision on acceptability of product.

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM related discipline with 2 or more years of professional experience, or 0 years of experience with Master's degree, or equivalent combined experience and education.

• At least 2 years of GD&T experience.

• At least 2 years of SAP experience.

• At least 2 years of APRISO experience.

• At least 2 years of Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.).

• At least 2 years of Presentation experience.

• At least 2 years of conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102.

• Desired: Manufacturing Environment Experience.

• Desired: Green or Black Belt Certification, AS9102 interpretation and application experience, and Optics experience.
