Job summary

The HT Group is assisting a growing healthcare practice in Scottsdale to find a growth-focused Controller who can lead and scale the in-house accounting organization across multiple sites. This hybrid role is based in Scottsdale, AZ.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in accounting, a CPA is a plus, and hands-on experience with multi-location reporting. Proficiency in NetSuite or Sage Intacct and advanced Excel is required to drive improvements across the finance function.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in accounting, including multi-site environments.
• CPA is a plus; CPA preferred.
• Strong hands-on accounting foundation with ability to manage daily functions.
• Experience with reporting by location, customer, cost center, or similar dimensions.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting function and act as CFO's primary accounting partner.
• Lead monthly close, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate reporting across locations, customers, and cost centers.
• Support distributed-site P&Ls, rebates, allocations, accruals, and true-ups.
• Identify process and control gaps and implement scalable improvements.

Help Build An Accounting Organization in the Multi-Site Medical Practice Management Space

The HT Group has partnered with a growing healthcare/practice management client located in Scottsdale (hybrid) in the search for a growth-focusedControllerto help lead and scale its in-house accounting organization. This would be a great role for someone with extensive multi-site/multi-entity experience looking to move into an developing Controller role and help build improved processes, procedures, and a team.

Role Duties

• Independently own the full accounting function and serve as the CFO's primary accounting partner.
• Lead the monthly close, reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, and other routine accounting activities.
• Maintain accurate reporting across locations, customers, and cost centers.
• Support distributed-site P&Ls, rebates, allocations, accruals, and true-ups.
• Identify process and control gaps and implement scalable improvements.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on accounting foundation with the ability to independently manage the day-to-day function.
• 8+ years experience required; Can be a combination of corporate and public accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred.
• Active CPA a plus.
• Experience within medical practice management or multi-location focused sectors highly preferred.
• Experience in a complex, multi-location, multi-entity, or multidimensional accounting environment.
• Understanding of reporting by location, customer, cost center, or similar operating dimensions.
• Experience with NetSuite or Sage Intacct accounting systems preferred.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency required.
• Comfortable working with a very lean team and evolving processes.
• Self-directed, practical, accountable, and able to work effectively with onsite and remote teams.
• Must understand dimensional accounting and how financial data is structured across locations, customers, and cost centers.
