You will use data, technical expertise, and cross-functional insights to lead end-to-end accounting processes, establish best practices, and deliver accurate financial results. In this role, you will have the ability to have a positive impact across all areas of Shipt’s financial ecosystem by maintaining robust accounting controls, optimizing operational workflows, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization to deliver strategic objectives. While no two days are the same, you will provide functional leadership, work review, and technical guidance to a team of 3 accountants supporting workstreams that drive financial accounting across Shipt’s full P&L. You will lead and drive end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Additionally, you will analyze emerging technical accounting standards, economic trends, and operational shifts to update accounting policies and build, maintain, and modernize core accounting processes, ERP systems, sub-ledger integrations, and financial reporting automation tools.
