Job Summary

This individual will be responsible for performing accounting research and making recommendations for complex and judgmental accounting issues. This person should serve as a key advisor to various accounting and finance contacts and will review significant vendor and customer agreements.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze contracts (e.g., customer agreements, vendor contracts, leases, intercompany transactions, and M&A deals) to identify accounting considerations.
  • Research complex accounting issues and prepare technical accounting memos and white papers with well-supported conclusions.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on accounting treatment for new or non-standard transactions across global entities.
  • Keep current on new accounting pronouncements and guidance to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Monitor and assess the impact of new accounting standards and global regulatory changes and support implementation efforts.
  • Contribute to the development and global rollout of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including functional accounting, legal, FP&A, procurement, operations and international and domestic divisions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Work closely with external auditors during audits and technical discussions.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
