A fast-growing 100% cloud-based tax advisory firm, specializing in strategic tax planning for healthcare professionals and affluent business owners across the U.S., is seeking a knowledgeable, take-charge personality to join the accounting department as a Remote Senior Accountant.

Position Overview
This role will supervise team members, assist with technical work, and support department leaders. There is room for growth within the company for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Manage clients' accounting records, primarily in healthcare and personal service industries.
- Assist with tax-related recording and support the tax team as needed.
- Communicate with clients via portal messaging, phone, and video conferencing.
- Ensure compliance with standards like GAAP and FASB, and internal controls.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
- Assist with bookkeeping cleanup projects.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Handle sensitive information confidentially.
- Understand payroll, depreciation, inventory, and sales tax processes.
- Process payroll and accounts payable.
- Review team members' work and delegate responsibilities.
- Support departmental operations ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in a public accounting role with at least 1 year of review experience.
- Experience with medical professionals is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Gusto, Excel, and Google Sheets.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
- Tax knowledge and prior tax preparation experience.
- Experience preparing books for taxes.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Solid understanding of financial statements (GAAP).
- Strong tax background, including compliance and procedures for corporations.
- Experience with bookkeeping operations and process improvements.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks using project management best practices.
- Independent work ethic with team collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Take-charge attitude and reliable internet connection.
