Job summary

KnitWell Group is seeking a Sr Accountant – External Reporting to join our Talbots office in Hingham, MA. This on-site role focuses on external financial statements under US GAAP and coordinating quarterly and annual reporting with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting (CPA preferred) and at least 3 years of experience in financial reporting or audits, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of experience preparing or auditing financial statements and note disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly external financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Manage the quarterly and annual financial reporting process, coordinating deliverables from other departments.
• Prepare, review and tie out supporting schedules for quarterly external statements.
• Prepare and review monthly internal financial reports.
• Serve as a liaison for external auditors during audits.
• Assist with the implementation and testing of financial reporting software.
• Execute and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Assist with testing of internal controls over financial reporting.

Sr Accountant – External Reporting

The impact you can have

• Prepare and review quarterly external financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
• Manage the quarterly and annual financial reporting process, including the coordination of deliverables from other departments
• Prepare, review and tie out supporting schedules for the quarterly financial external statements
• Prepare and review monthly internal financial reports
• Serve as a key liaison for the external auditors quarterly and annual audits
• Assist with the implementation and testing of financial reporting software
• Execute and maintain internal controls over financial reporting
• Assist with the testing of internal controls over financial reporting

You’ll bring to the role

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
• 3+ years of experience preparing or auditing financial statements and note disclosures, preferably in Big Four or national accounting firm
• Exposure to internal controls over financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong excel skills

• The target salary range for this role is: $75,000 - $85,000*

This position works on-site at least 4 days per week consistent with the needs of the business at our Talbots office location in Hingham, MA.
