Job summary

Talbots is seeking an Allocator to execute store and size-level allocations within an omni-channel framework. You will work with cross-functional teams to maximize sell-through and profitability by coordinating with the Inventory Planning Analyst and ensuring timely stock flow to stores, outlets, and direct channels.

Responsibilities include managing size breaks and pack strategies, maintaining accurate allocations, and reviewing omni-channel performance to guide season planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 1–3 years’ experience.
• Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data.
• Strong sense of work ethic and responsibility.

• Manage size breaks, size curves, and pack strategies to ensure the right product is delivered to the right store at the right time.
• Maintain accurate and timely allocation of inventory to stores/direct/outlet in line with global inventory strategies.
• Review omni-channel selling by size and support optimum size and pack purchase recommendations based on store/item/classification and key item level need.
• Partner with the Planning and Merchandising team pre-season to review hindsight’s that will help develop next season’s product strategies.
• Participate in Planning/Inventory Management discussions to optimize inventory through preseason store cluster analysis, initial allocation, DC management and in-season management.
• Partner with the Inventory Planning Analyst on new allocation strategies at the classification and/or key item level, keeping a customer centric inventory strategy.
• Identify business driving opportunities to the Inventory Planning Analyst through analytics and risk management.

About the role

The Allocator is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of store and size level allocations across an omni-channel business in partnership with the cross functional team. They execute omni-channel inventory management strategies by ensuring the flow of inventory to stores/direct/outlet supports the global strategies to maximize the company’s sales, inventory, and margin goals. • The target salary range for this role is: $60,000
