Job summary

KnitWell Group, a specialty retail operating company including Ann Taylor, Chico's, Lane Bryant and more, is seeking a Sr Accountant – External Reporting at our Talbots office in Hingham, MA. You will prepare and review quarterly external financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and coordinate deliverables with other departments.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred, 3+ years in financial reporting (Big Four ideal), and strong Excel and internal controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of experience preparing or auditing financial statements and note disclosures, preferably Big Four or national firm.
• Exposure to internal controls over financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly external financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Coordinate deliverables from other departments for quarterly reports.
• Prepare, review and tie out supporting schedules for external statements.
• Prepare and review monthly internal financial reports.
• Serve as a key liaison for external auditors quarterly and annual audits.
• Assist with the implementation and testing of financial reporting software.
• Execute and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
• Assist with testing of internal controls over financial reporting.
