Jobot in Redlands, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant to own hands-on GL accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations within a growing construction team.

You will work closely with the Controller and Accounting Manager, prepare financial statements, support external audits, and ensure GAAP compliance while leveraging ERP systems. This is a full-time, on-site role with strong health benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional accounting experience, including hands-on industry/corporate accounting.
• At least 1 yr of Construction accounting experience.
• Strong GL accounting with working knowledge of GAAP, month-end closing, journal entries, fixed assets and account reconciliations.
• Financial statement preparation and external audit support experience.
• ERP/accounting systems experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet and account reconciliations.
• Support general ledger accounting and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, prepaids, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting activities.
• Support external audits and maintain accurate accounting documentation.
• Review existing close processes and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
• Partner closely with the Controller and Accounting Manager while independently managing assigned accounting responsibilities.
