Qualifications

• Advanced Excel and experience with ERP systems; NetSuite a plus.

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Sammons Warehouse Solutions team and take ownership of SG&A accounting across multiple business units. This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys getting into the details, improving how work gets done, and building toward the next step in their accounting career.

How You’ll Make a Difference

You’ll be a key owner of the SG&A close process, helping ensure our financial information is accurate, timely, and ready to support good business decisions. You’ll work across our business, partnering with teams throughout the organization while strengthening processes as our business and systems continue to evolve.

What You’ll Do

Own the SG&A month-end close including a four-day close, accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, close checklists, and resolution of accounting discrepancies.

Analyze SG&A results, investigate variances, identify trends and cost opportunities, and support budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash management, and annual audit activities.

Work across multiple accounting systems, supporting consolidations and helping the organization prepare for its upcoming migration to NetSuite.

Improve the way we work by building and maintaining clear processes, procedures, controls, checklists, and documentation that strengthen accuracy and efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Finance, or a related field, along with 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; CPA candidates or those actively pursuing a CPA are preferred. Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, general ledger reconciliations, and SG&A accounting; experience working across multiple business units or consolidated environments is preferred. Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with ERP systems. NetSuite experience is a strong plus, but the ability to learn and adapt to new systems matters most. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work well with people across the business.
