Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role will oversee accounting processes, ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting, and support various financial activities.

You will prepare and review financial statements, perform month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries, and analyze data to provide insights for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA designation preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with auditors, ensuring all documentation and financial statements are accurate and audit ready.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various finance-related projects.

Required
