Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role will oversee accounting processes, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support various financial activities.

You will prepare financial statements, manage month-end close, analyze data for decision making, maintain the general ledger, and work with auditors. A Bachelor's in accounting or related field and 5+ years of progressive experience are required; CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, identify opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with auditors, ensuring all documentation and financial statements are audit ready.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various finance-related projects.
