Job Title: Sr. Accountant

About our team:

Warner Music’s Center of Excellence supports our US Recorded Music and Publishing businesses with financial, legal, and administrative services. Located in Nashville, our team embodies entrepreneurial spirit and artist-focused innovation, providing opportunities for skill development through cross-functional collaboration.

Your role:

The Senior Accountant manages advanced accounting and reporting activities for a specific label or affiliate, including:

  • Performing monthly/quarterly financial reporting and analysis for US business units
  • Managing the monthly close process, including journal entries and sub-ledger monitoring
  • Handling accounting related to artist and copyright royalty expenses, ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Reviewing staff tasks and journal preparations
  • Ensuring SOX compliance and assisting with audit documentation
  • Maintaining relationships with finance teams across divisions
  • Performing cross-departmental responsibilities as needed

About you:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years experience in Shared Service, Corporate Accounting, or Big 4 CPA firm
  • CPA certification

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Experience in a Shared Services and SOX environment
  • Audit experience, flux analysis, SEC reporting, fixed asset accounting
  • Music industry experience is a plus
  • Strong work ethic, proactive, detail-oriented, able to multitask and prioritize under pressure
