Senior Accountant – USA

PGC, a Workwell Company, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data, is passionate about accuracy, and thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the preparation and presentation of financial reports, strategic financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives, helping guide the financial direction of a growing and dynamic company.

PGC, established in 2000 and now part of the Workwell Group, provides workforce management and employer of record services across the U.S. and Canada. With offices in Austin, London, and New York City, and our own proprietary HR software, we offer flexible, reliable, and high-quality support to staffing agencies and contingent workforces.

What you’ll be doing:

• Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including:
• Income statements with budget comparisons and variance commentary
• Margin breakdowns and overhead analysis
• Reconciled balance sheets and control accounts
• Intercompany reconciliations within the Workwell Group
• Prepare various monthly reports, including Asset-Based Lending reports, workers' compensation, 401(k), and benefits premiums
• Perform job costing and commission allocation
• Recommend and implement improvements to existing accounting procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support internal audits for payroll, benefits, and compliance
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data and business processes
• Partner with the CFO to manage annual audits and tax submissions, and liaise with external auditors

We’d love to hear from someone that:

• Has 5+ years of accounting experience
• That has a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• Has advanced Excel skills
• Is familiar with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus
• Has experience in the staffing industry is desirable but not essential
• Is a critical thinker with the initiative to propose process improvements
• Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and alignment with PGC’s values
• Thrives in both autonomous and team environments
• Is proactive, organized, and self-disciplined
• Possesses exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Has strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Has robust experience in data management and financial reporting

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks
