Job summary

Talentify in Melville, NY is seeking a Senior Accountant to drive the monthly close, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams as we scale a fast-growing fintech organization.

You will gain exposure to ASC 606/ASC 842, policy improvements, and automation initiatives while contributing to strategic business initiatives and cross-functional efforts with FP&A, Legal, Sales, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with ASC 606 and/or ASC 842.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Maintain the general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAP, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Research and interpret accounting guidance, including ASC 606 and ASC 842, and assist with technical accounting memos.
• Support the development and enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of contracts and business transactions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization, automation, and reporting efficiencies.
• Assist with ERP system enhancements, implementations, and special projects that support company growth.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA certification
• Public accounting experience
• Experience within fintech, SaaS, technology, or high-growth private equity-backed organizations
• Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite
• Experience with automation initiatives and process improvement projects
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
