Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its healthcare accounting team in New Jersey. This hands-on role covers general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting and at least 4 years of progressive accounting experience, with GAAP knowledge and strong Excel skills. Healthcare or nonprofit experience is preferred. Hybrid work begins after an initial onsite training period.

• Solid understanding of GAAP.

• Prepare monthly journal entries, adjustments, and supporting schedules
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
• Monitor cash activity and assist with cash flow analysis
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets and other assigned accounts
• Support annual audits and provide documentation to external auditors
• Assist with accounting controls and process improvements
