Job summary

Electrosoft Services, LLC is seeking a Security Engineer - SQL to manage SQL Server environments, ensure robust security, and support a GRC platform ecosystem. The role requires deep expertise in database administration, security controls, and large-scale enterprise deployments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and participate in on-call rotations to maintain high availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 8+ years in Information Security with database/SQL administration.
• Experience with RSA Archer and regulatory compliance (DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53).
• Experience managing SQL Server (2016-2019) in enterprise environments.
• On-call rotation availability.

Responsibilities

• Maintains database performance by optimizing parameters and releases.
• Manage SQL Server environments across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production GRC platforms.
• Ensure security and compliance with policies.
• Support Application Administrators in designing and testing changes.
• Code efficient SQL statements; review performance and indexes.
• Troubleshoot SQL instances including WSFC and Always On.
• Design upgrade strategies with coordination and fallbacks.
• Implement secure access controls, patch management, and vulnerability remediation per DISA STIGs.
• Ensure Archer configurations align with RSA support standards for HA/DR.
• Collaborate with HCAP platform teams and OS infrastructure to align Archer and shared services.
• Use SSMS, PowerShell, ServiceNow to administer and monitor DBA activities.
• Design and maintain DQL/DDL/DCL/DML to automate tasks and troubleshoot; admin tasks from command line.
• Possess Microsoft Database certifications like Azure Database Administrator Associate.
• Maintain detailed documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams; provide guidance.
• Lead and mentor junior team members.
• Organized, detail-oriented, good problem-solving; work independently or in team.
• Capability to troubleshoot LAN/WAN connections and network issues.
• Strong communication and documentation; explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Analyzes development and implementation requirements and modify systems per customer requests.
