Job summary

Electrosoft Services, LLC is seeking a System Administration - Database Admin (SQL) to support our federal customers. You will manage SQL Server environments across Dev, Test, UAT and Production, implement secure access controls, and ensure high availability with WSFC and Always On.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in information security, strong SQL tuning and security experience, and familiarity with DISA STIGs, CIS and NIST controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 8+ years of information security work experience in enterprise environments.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016–2019) and other databases (DB2, Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL).
• Strong knowledge in database performance tuning, security, and administration.
• Experience with security standards (CIS, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs) and on-call rotation.
• Ability to participate in 24/7/365 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating operating systems when/where necessary.
• Manage SQL Server environments supporting Dev, Test, UAT, and Production GRC platform and application instances.
• Knowledge of information security policies aligns with maintaining database security and compliance.
• Supports Application Administrators in designing, implementing, and testing database changes to support business applications.
• Assists with code reviews and optimization of SQL statements for performance.
• Design and plan upgrade strategies including coordination with system administrators and developers.
• Implement secure access controls, patch management, and vulnerability remediations in line with DISA STIGs and policies.
• Ensure Archer database configurations align with RSA support standards and meet HA/DR requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects and provide technical leadership.
• Lead and mentor junior team members in best practices.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or in a team.
