Job summary

Insight Global in Chicago is seeking a SQL Developer / Database Administrator (DBA) for an ongoing onsite contract. You will support both database development and administration across two initiatives: migrating legacy data to a modern SQL Server and designing a cloud-based data warehouse for scalable reporting.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of SQL Server experience, strong skills in stored procedures, views, functions, and query optimization, plus hands-on ETL, data modeling, and performance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Developer / DBA.
• Strong SQL Server development skills (stored procedures, views, functions, query optimization).
• Experience with database administration, including performance tuning, monitoring, backup/recovery, and security.
• Hands-on experience with ETL, data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Experience supporting database migrations and legacy system modernization.
• Experience with on-prem SQL Server and at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
