Job summary

Oatly is seeking a SQA Manager (External Manufacturing & Warehouse/Logistics) in North America to ensure food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across external partners supporting Oatly products in NA.

The role reports to the Global Director, SQA and manages supplier quality and food safety, including risk assessment, audits, CAPA, and release decisions. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field and relevant certifications.
• HACCP certification and FSMA PCQI certification required.
• 5+ years in food safety/quality within the food industry.
• Experience with supplier quality management and auditing.
• Strong knowledge of GFSI standards (BRCGS/SQF/FSSC 22000) and FDA/FSMA.
• Experience with ERP systems (D365) and PLM tools.
• Analytical, risk-based problem solving and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Approve and manage external manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics partners from quality and food safety perspective.
• Ensure supplier compliance with Oatly standards, GFSI schemes, and regulatory requirements.
• Approve new production lines (commissioning/validation) at external manufacturers.
• Conduct supplier risk assessments, including HACCP and food safety plan reviews.
• Own supplier audits, deviation management, and CAPA follow-up.
• Drive supplier performance through KPIs and supplier development plans.
• Support product traceability and planned traceability tests for Co-Manufacturers.
• Provide backup support to the Release Manager for product releases.
• Lead food safety and quality investigations related to external partners.
• Coordinate root cause analysis and corrective actions with suppliers.
• Support deviations, complaints, and regulatory investigations.
• Provide risk-based recommendations during supply disruptions.
• Collaborate with QRA, Procurement, Operations, Logistics, and Site QA teams.
• Support product development with process and risk input.
