Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all production scheduling, customer contact scheduling, and raw material planning activities.
- Act as primary liaison between customer, production, shipping/receiving, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of quality product on a JIT (Just-In-Time) basis while meeting all customer-specific and inventory requirements.
- Supports Magna Operational Principles and Employee Charter criteria within context and position's scope of work supports EBM’s ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, IATF System, as well as Magna Safety and Magna Environmental Program requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of Production Schedulers, Customer Contact Schedulers, and Raw Materials Planners.
- Coordinate JIT product shipments against customer releases and purchase orders.
- Oversee customer communication including portals, special requests, and escalation of risks.
- Ensure alignment between production schedules, material availability, and customer demand.
- Manage raw material planning activities including coil steel, purchased components, and inbound deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure targets are met through analysis of shortages/overages.
- Lead coordination of new program launches and program build-outs to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor customer delivery/service performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance and ensure material availability supports production requirements.
- Participate in and oversee physical inventories, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives.
- Attend and lead daily production and planning meetings.
- Support Receiving operations as needed for material flow and inventory management.
- Develop, train, and evaluate team members within planning and scheduling functions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, inventory control, and material flow.
- Housekeeping and other activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, material planning, or inventory control in a manufacturing environment
- Automotive industry experience preferred
- Experience with JIT inventory flow and scheduling systems required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of material planning, supplier coordination, and production processes
- Ability to work overtime as required
Skills:
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP/MRP systems)
- Ability to access and analyze data from computer systems and networks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good math and analytical skills

Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- BA degree preferred
- APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification preferred
- APICS, MRP/MRP II (Material Release Point) experience
