Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an apprentice to assist in installing and servicing fire protection piping, valves, and accessories for commercial and industrial sites. You may work alternative shifts or weekends to meet job needs and must perform duties safely and professionally.

You will assist foreman with wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems, follow safety policies, and maintain proper documentation while learning on the job in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work well with others and follow safety rules.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Learn/assist in installing and servicing fire protection piping, valves and accessories.
• Assist foreman with installation of sprinkler systems and related tasks.
• Follow safety policies and maintain documentation for work performed.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures and follow instructions.
• Perform physical labor including lifting up to 70 lbs and climbing.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and learn quickly.
