Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking a sprinkler service tech/inspector to install and inspect fire protection systems on commercial and industrial sites, with shifts including weekends as needed.

You will ensure safety, maintain documentation, and mentor apprentices while handling equipment up to 70 lbs. The role emphasizes physical labor, teamwork, and professional conduct in a unionized environment with pay range $22.00–$32.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Self-starter with ability to work with little supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and positive attitude.
• Capable of performing physical labor.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial and industrial applications.
• Inspect wet, dry, pre-action and deluge sprinkler systems and document work.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures; maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Assist apprentices by providing verbal and written instructions.
• Move equipment and tools up to 70 lbs; work in ladders and at height as needed.
