Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring a sprinkler installer to install fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial and industrial applications in Raleigh, NC. The role requires the ability to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet job requirements and to perform all duties safely and professionally.

You will install wet, dry, pre-action and deluge sprinkler systems, maintain proper documentation, and provide instruction to apprentices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in installation and service of fire sprinkler systems.
• Self-starter who can work with little supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Install wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Maintain documentation for work performed and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Provide verbal and written instructions to apprentices.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
• Capable of performing physical labor in stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and adaptability.

What you will do

Perform the installation of fire protection piping, valves and accessories for commercial and industrial application. Must be able to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer and/or job requirements. Must perform all duties in a safe and professional manner.

How you will do it

• As sprinkler installer, you will efficiently and neatly perform the installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• You will maintain proper documentation for work performed and must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• In this position you will be provided verbal and written instructions, as well as provide verbal and written instructions to apprentices.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
• Capable of performing physical labor; perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• You will have a positive attitude and the ability to adapt quickly.
