What you will do
- Receive service calls from the Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions.
- Contact customer representatives to ascertain equipment/system problems.
- Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications, including wet (steel, copper, CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
- Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, and modification notices to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and manuals.
- Provide effective customer service by communicating with staff and customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Complete Service Acknowledgements electronically with proper coding and obtain customer signatures.
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What we look for
- At least 2 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to follow instructions and perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50-70 lbs.
- Capability to work in challenging positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and working at heights up to 40 feet
- Flexibility to work weekends and participate in on-call rotations, including overnight travel
- Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain truck inventory for timely responses
- Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures
- Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude
- Valid driver's license meeting company requirements and ability to pass background and drug tests
