What you will do
Receive service calls from our Service Resource Center, including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions.
If needed for clarification, contact customer representative to understand the scope of work and ensure materials are available for first call repair when possible.
Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.
These include, but are not limited to, wet (steel, copper, and CPVC), dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, change notices, bulletins, modification notices, etc., to diagnose and repair equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, and operational manuals.
Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with district staff and customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Electronically complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding and obtain customer signatures.
Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What we look for
5 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry
Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Willingness to travel within the Central Kentucky and Southern Indiana area.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 70 lbs.
Able to work in challenging positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lifts up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Flexibility to work hours including weekends to meet customer needs.
Able to participate in an on-call rotation.
Strong customer service skills.
Maintain truck inventory for timely response.
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and quick learner.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug tests.
Current certifications as required locally.
Preferred
NICET Level II certification.
