Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various equipment and facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of safety and functionality within our facilities.

Responsibilities

1. Replace burned out light bulbs in common areas and entrances.
2. Address plumbing and drain issues.
3. Perform general maintenance-related cleaning, including light lens covers, interior and exterior.
4. Walk roofs, parking lots, and grounds to collect debris and report damage.
5. Assist with HVAC check-ups and filter changes.
6. Clear snow and ice from walks and apply ice-melt during winter.
7. Perform parking lot patching, crack filling, and striping.
8. Replace damaged ceiling tiles.
9. Perform minor electrical repairs.
10. Apply insecticide and herbicide as needed.
11. Apply new safety paint to areas such as handicap zones and curbs.
12. Conduct general painting as needed.
13. Reset parking lot light timers to match sunrise and sunset times.
14. Open and close sprinkler systems seasonally and as needed.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills

4. Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as follow directions.
5. Hands-on technical skills for minor repairs.
6. Ability to climb ladders.
